Rely on proven technology
Whoever decides on using the proven screw connection, will make a good choice with the ALPHA FIX 8WA1 terminal blocks. They are used mainly in switchgear and controlgear assemblies and control engineering. They are insulated on both sides and closed at both ends. This makes the terminal rugged, eliminates the need for end plates and less stock items need to be stored.
The screw terminal is also available in prefabricated terminal blocks, whereby you save time and money.
Always tighten securely
The clamping parts are designed to yield elastically to tensile stress when tightening the terminal screws. This compensates for any creepage of the clamped cable. Loosening of the terminal screw is prevented by the deformation of the threaded section – even under strong mechanical and thermal load.
Expansion of the 8WH range
The screw terminals of the 8WH1 series are an ideal supplement to the 8WH product range. They are suitable for use in the fields of plant and mechanical engineering and the building installation sector. Other applications are photovoltaic systems.
Key features of the 8WH1 screw terminals are their compact design, optimum handling and their ability to ensure permanent wire clamping due to the excellent plasticity of the clamping body, which prevents wires slipping.
Optimized with a wide range of accessories
The screw terminal has been expanded with a range of innovative accessories that can also be used in combination with other connection systems of the 8WH range. The double bridge slot enables individual chain bridging with standard connecting combs. The range is ideally rounded off with protection terminals with identical shapes and modular widths.
SINUMERIK CNC software makes control systems easier to use than ever before because they provide a highly organized, intuitive operating and programming interface: SINUMERIK Operate. This innovative CNC software integrates the familiar SINUMERIK software packages HMI-Advanced, ShopMill and ShopTurn into a single, integrated, operating and programming interface.
For vibration-sensitive applications
The trend toward spring-loaded connection systems is on the rise, especially in control cabinets, plant control and traffic engineering. The 8WH2 terminal with spring-loaded connection is primarily intended for vibration-sensitive applications.
The advantages: The spring always exerts constant pressure on the conductor, independently of the operator’s influence. There is no need to check the connection.
Playing it safe
The 8WH2 spring-loaded terminal also shows its advantages during assembly:The extremely compact design ensures very user-friendly wiring even where space is at a premium. Connection is conveniently made from the front, whereby the connecting conductors are securely connected to the power bus applying the spring-loaded principle.
Easy to mount
The 8WH6 In-Push-Out (iPo) terminals combine the advantages of spring and plug-in technology and can be used in the fields of mechanical and plant engineering.
This connection method is ultra quick to mount and requires up to 50% less insertion force. The terminal ensures excellent contact stability, even when subject to vibrations. They are also extremely easy to dismantle by simply inserting a pointed object in the unlocking plunger.
Safely plugged in
iPo stands for In-Push-Out.
This means: The wire is simple to insert without tools as the contact spring opens automatically on insertion of the wire. This applies to both rigid wires and flexible wires with end sleeve. The terminal is easy to open with any tool. The turquoise pushbutton clearly identifies the actuator and prevents any wrong operation.
Connection of rigid conductors
Anywhere where the wiring involves rigid conductors or conductors with cable end sleeves with a neutral busbar, our 8WH4 plug-in terminals are recommended. Thus, they are especially appealing for use in the building installation sector.
Terminals in small and other distribution boards, miniature circuit breakers, switches and outlets from Siemens are also available with this connection technology.
Even when things get tight
The stripped, rigid conductors are simply plugged into the terminals and they establish a reliable contact. The screw driver is only required for loosening the connection. This is an advantage that is especially important in very tight and narrow wiring spaces. In addition, the terminals can also be connected with flexible conductors; either with cable end sleeves or with the aid of a screwdriver.
